This introductory course hosted by Bear Valley Kayak School is perfect for new paddlers or those looking to learn and test out their whitewater kayaking skills. We'll cover the basics, and then head out on the water to get hands-on experience! Classes will meet at Quinn's Pond. 

Know Before You Go:

This class includes a quick discussion on the different types of whitewater kayaks and necessary gear.  We will then gear up and hit Quinn's pond to introduce the basic paddle strokes and fundamentals of maneuvering whitewater kayaks. All gear will be provided. Participants just need to bring their swimming suits and be ready to get wet.  Class starts off with a quick swim out of the kayak!
